What are the system requirements?
Jenvi requires macOS 15 (Sequoia) or later and runs on both Apple silicon and Intel Macs with a Metal-capable GPU.
How do I use AI shader generation?
Open Preferences › AI (or click the key icon in the prompt bar) and paste your own Anthropic (Claude) or OpenAI API key. The feature is inactive until a key is provided — Jenvi never ships with a key and only sends the prompt and shader text you submit.
How does audio reactivity work?
Choose a microphone or load an audio file from the Audio panel, then map any parameter to a feature (bass, treble, onset, BPM, and more) via the waveform button next to a parameter. Audio is analyzed entirely on your device.
Can I use Jenvi as a plugin in my DAW?
Yes. Jenvi installs an Audio Unit (AUv3) effect that appears in Logic, Ableton Live, and other AU hosts, with host beat sync and bar-quantized scene changes.
How do I send visuals to other apps (Syphon/NDI)?
Enable live output from the audio/output controls. Syphon works out of the box. NDI requires the free NDI runtime from ndi.video — install it and Jenvi will detect it automatically.
Where are my files saved?
Projects save as .jenvi files anywhere you choose. Jenvi is sandboxed, so it only accesses files you explicitly open or save.
